Navigating early adulthood can be exciting but also overwhelming. College, new careers, and increased independence come with stress, anxiety, and big life transitions. As a parent, you want to support your child’s well-being, but it can be challenging to know how to help. Therapy provides a safe, supportive space for young adults to build resilience, gain confidence, and develop lifelong coping skills.
With 15 years of experience as a teacher, high school counselor, and summer camp director, I specialize in helping young adults (ages 18-25) navigate life’s challenges with confidence. Using evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), I provide practical tools to help them:
Confidentiality: The young adult is my client, and their privacy is my priority. I encourage young adults to take the lead in deciding how and when to involve parents in their therapeutic journey. While I am happy to support open communication, all sessions remain confidential unless the young adult chooses to include you in the conversation.
Payment Options: Sessions are $150 and can be covered through insurance, parental support, or direct payment.
Encouraging Therapy: If your child is hesitant, open conversations can help. Express your support and highlight the benefits of therapy as a tool for personal growth, not just crisis management.
I understand how much you want to support your child’s well-being. Therapy can be a valuable resource in helping them navigate this stage of life with confidence and autonomy. It provides a space for them to build resilience, gain self-awareness, and develop skills that will serve them well into adulthood.
